Patient Prom

Project Overview
The Child Life department puts on a prom night for all patients who may not be able to attend their own school prom. This is a special night where kids have fun and be themselves while dressing to the nines.
My Contributions
A fly on the wall style story with no pre-production, I was with patients at every step to film the night as it unfolded. I was responsible for filming and editing this project.
The purpose of telling the Patient Prom story was to bring attention to the wonderful work the Child Life team does and showcase that for social channels in a bite sized minute.

I wanted to show the electrifying nature of Patient Prom in this fast moving and exciting piece. We jump from make up and selecting dresses to the party with a timely music switch, similar to a wedding video. All aspects of the evening are shown, if only for a brief moment, as a way for the attendees to look back at this special moment.
